Customize your widget
Make your contest look like it was made for your brand, because it was. The Widget Builder lets you change colors, fonts, text and shape, and shows you a live preview as you go.
Your design applies everywhere your contest appears: your Shopify product pages, your embeds, and every contest you run. Design it once and every new contest matches.
Open the Widget Builder
In your dashboard sidebar, go to Stylization → Widget Builder. It opens full-screen with three areas:
- Top bar: preview options, undo/redo, and Save.
- Left panel: the parts of the widget you can style.
- Preview: a live preview of your widget that updates as you edit.
Preview options

| Presentation | Preview as Embedded (in the page) or Modal (a launch button that opens the widget over the page). Shopify stores show the widget as a modal, so design in Modal. |
| Screen to design | Jump to any screen participants can see: Sign in, Verification code, Loading, Actions, All done, No actions and Error. |
| Closed / Open | In Modal, switch between the closed launch button and the open widget. |
| Desktop / Tablet / Mobile | Check how it looks on different screen sizes. |
| Undo / Redo | Step backward and forward through your changes. |
| Reset to defaults | Start over with the standard Winzos look. |
| Preview without editing tools | See the widget exactly as a participant would. |
What you can customize
Pick a part in the left panel to see its settings. Parts are grouped into Page (what sits on your page) and Widget (the contest itself).
Widget
The outer panel that holds the header, body and footer.
- Font: System default, Inter, DM Sans, Manrope, Plus Jakarta Sans, Outfit, Poppins, Montserrat, Nunito, Work Sans, Space Grotesk, Playfair Display, Fraunces, Lora, Libre Baskerville, Righteous or JetBrains Mono.
- Background, Corner radius and Max width (modal).
Header
Sells the prize before entry, then collapses to a compact bar after it.
- Prize image: Image crop (21:9, 16:9, 4:3 or 1:1), Image darkening and Text on image.
- Badge: Badge background and Badge text.
- Compact bar: Bar background, Bar text and Bar secondary text.
- Entries counter: Entries background, Entries text and Last-chance colour (used when the contest is about to close).
- Type: Text color, Padding, Title size and Title weight.
Body
The entry form before sign-in, and the list of actions after it.
- Colors: Accent, Accent text, Heading color, Text color and Live dot.
- Action cards: Card background, Card border, Card radius, Reward tile and Reward tile label.
- Highlights: Highlight background and Highlight text.
- Sizing: Font size and Padding.
- Your words: Entry button (default "Enter to win") and Actions heading (default "Add entries").
Footer
The legal disclosure and the link to the official rules: Background, Text color and Padding.
Launch button (Modal only)
The button that opens the widget. On Shopify, it's what shoppers see on your product page.
- Label (default "Enter to win"), Background, Text color, Corner radius, Font size and Padding.
Close button (Modal only)
The × in the corner of the open modal: Icon color and Icon size.
Save your design
The top bar shows Unsaved changes while you edit. Click Save when you're happy, and the badge switches to Saved. Your live widgets pick up the new look straight away. There's nothing to re-embed or re-install.
Design tips
- Start with your accent color. Set Accent in the Body to your brand color, then make sure Accent text is readable on it.
- Match your site's font. If your site uses one of the fonts in the list, pick it. Otherwise System default blends in nicely almost anywhere.
- Make the button say what it does. "Enter to win" works, but "Win this hoodie" or "Get my free entry" can work even better.
- Match your corners. Rounded buttons on your site? Round off the widget and launch button too.
- Check contrast. Light text on a light background is easy to miss, especially on a phone in the sun.
